4. Roles and Responsibilities
The Account Manager is responsible for all sales activities for EDA products, from lead generation through close in an assigned territory or set of accounts, and is responsible for maximizing sales profitability, growth and account penetration. The role sells products and services directly to end users primarily via face-to-face contact.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Activities include strategic EDA sales, account planning, account management, forecasting, lead generation, prospecting, qualifying, product value differentiation, manage evaluations, preparing and delivering proposals and closing the sale
- Formulate and articulate ****** differentiated product values meeting customer’s business and technical needs
- Manage and coordinate technical resources and work with global teams to achieve customer and company goals
- Work closely with marketing and other business functions as needed to help determine ways to differentiate between competitors and contribute to overall business goals.
5. Requirements
- BS Degree or equivalent
- Direct sales of EDA physical design tools and flows is required
- A minimum of 7 years of direct EDA software sales experience; minimum of 4 years direct EDA software sales with annual quota achieved
- Top achiever with a proven track record in sales of EDA software
- Must possess strong cross-functional team and leadership skills
- Travel is required
- Excellent skills in global account management, strategic account planning, sales strategy, execution and closing
- Outstanding presentation, oral and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- EDA applications engineering experience is a strong plus
- Ability to work independently
